Export
Export videos, editing drafts, or project files.
What you can do
- Export the final video from one or more edits.
- Export a CapCut draft for continued local editing.
- Package images, videos, audio, documents, and folders using the project hierarchy.
- Track progress and download again from Recent Downloads.
Where to export from
- Export project content: Select Export at the top of the project, then choose Video File, Video Draft, or Project Files.
- Export only the current edit: Find the edit in the list, canvas, or navigation panel, open its action menu, and select Export. You can also start from the edit toolbar inside the editing workspace.
If the shots or audio still need changes, review the Edit first.
Export a final video
- Select Export at the top of the project and choose Video File.
- Select one or more available edits.
- Submit the export and wait for it to finish under Recent Downloads.
- Download the result. Multiple edits are packaged in a ZIP.
Only currently exportable edits appear. If the list is empty or an item is unavailable, confirm that the project has an edit with usable content.
Export an editing draft
- Select Export at the top of the project and choose Video Draft.
- Select the edits you want to continue editing and submit.
- Download the ZIP containing a CapCut draft, its media, and other project files.
- Extract the ZIP, then follow Import into CapCut to place the draft folder in your editing software.
Multiple edits are packaged in the same ZIP. Each edit's draft folder starts with CapCut_.
Export project files
- Select Export at the top of the project and choose Project Files.
- Select the images, videos, audio, documents, or folders to export.
- Wait for packaging to finish, then download the ZIP organized by project hierarchy.
Project-file export retrieves currently available content; it is not a project backup. Conversation history, unselected content, and unfinished generation tasks are not included.
Track progress and download
After submission, Recent Downloads appears at the top of the project. Use it to check export or packaging status. A completed result normally starts downloading automatically; if it does not, select its download link. If processing fails, review the edit and media state before trying again.
Tips
- Play the complete result before export and check shot order, picture, audio, and missing-media warnings.
- Restore, replace, or remove any clip whose source media is unavailable.
- An entry labeled PR File downloads a package with project descriptions, media, and applicable drafts; it is not a
.prprojfile that opens directly.
