Extract Frames and Audio
Save a still image from a moment in an existing video, or extract the audio from the whole video.
What you can do
- Export a still frame: Save one moment of a video as a new image resource. Use it as a reference for another generation, a cover image, or an item to organize separately.
- Extract audio: Create an independent audio resource from a video so you can edit, reference, or organize it separately.
Both actions create new resources without changing the original video.
Export a still frame
- Open the video in the preview area.
- Play to the frame you want and pause.
- Click Export Still Frame in the preview toolbar.
- Check the image preview:
- If the moment is right, click Create.
- If not, cancel and locate the moment again in the video.
Flova adds the confirmed frame to the current asset as a new image resource.
Extract audio
- Open the video in the preview area.
- Click Extract Audio in the preview toolbar.
- Continue in the confirmation dialog. When it finishes, find the new audio resource in the project.
Tips
- Pause the video before exporting a frame, then use the playhead to choose the precise moment.
- Use the exported image as a reference for another image or video generation.
- Add the extracted audio to an editing timeline or reference it in chat.
Limitations
- You can export a still frame only from a previewable, paused video.
- You cannot export a frame directly from an empty generation slot, audio, or a video that is still playing.
- If the video has no extractable audio track, an audio resource cannot be created.
