AI Upscale
Improve the clarity of an existing image or video by creating an upscaled result without replacing the original resource.
What you can do
AI Upscale helps when the content is usable but its detail, clarity, or output resolution is not sufficient. It starts a new processing job. When it finishes, you can compare the upscaled result with the original in the same asset.
How to use it
- Open the image or video you want to process in the preview area.
- Click HD in the top toolbar.
- Configure the Image Upscale or Video Upscale panel.
- Click Create. When processing finishes, open the new result in the original asset.
Image Upscale
The main settings are:
- Resolution: Select an available target resolution, such as 4K or 8K.
- Detail generation: Choose low, medium, or high. Higher settings reconstruct details more noticeably; start with low or medium if you want to stay close to the original.
Video Upscale
Video Upscale offers two modes:
- Standard mode: A general clarity improvement for ordinary shots and everyday previews.
- Professional mode: Stronger detail enhancement for close-ups, complex textures, or videos that need greater clarity.
Depending on the current panel, you can also set:
- Resolution: The target output resolution.
- Frame interpolation: No interpolation or high-quality interpolation.
- Frame rate: The output frame rate when interpolation is enabled.
Tips
- First decide whether the problem is low resolution or the content itself. To remove, replace, or rearrange elements, use editing or generation tools instead of AI Upscale.
- High detail generation and Professional mode reconstruct details more visibly. Compare the result with the original and check people, text, and important textures.
- Available options vary with the current capabilities and resource. Follow the options shown in the panel.
Limitations
- AI Upscale works on generated or imported images and videos that can be previewed.
- It is not available for audio, music, or an empty asset.
- To change the settings of an already-upscaled result, continue from that resource's editing entry point instead of clicking HD again.
