Move Flova Projects Forward with External Agents
Flova CLI lets external Agents such as Codex, Claude Code, Workbuddy, and Trae directly move Flova video projects forward.
After installation and sign-in, you only need to describe your goal, provide materials, and confirm key checkpoints in the current conversation. The Agent can then create or continue projects, use Flova Skills, advance production, and bring project status and deliverables back to the conversation.
Flova CLI connects to the complete Flova project system, not to a standalone image or video generation endpoint. Project requirements, conversation history, storyboards, media, documents, and the editing timeline all remain in the same project.
Quick start
You do not need to learn commands first. Once installation and sign-in are complete, you can ask the Agent to use Flova just as you would in any other conversation.
-
Send the setup prompt below to the Agent you are using. It will install and load Flova CLI and the Skill, then guide you through sign-in.

Describe the video you want, including its goal, duration, aspect ratio, style, key content, available materials, and delivery requirements.
Use Flova to create a warm fantasy narrative short film, 30 seconds long and 16:9:During a nighttime blackout, a small robot living on a city rooftop discovers a glowing seed and overcomes obstacles to deliver it to a lost little girl downstairs.Keep the pacing clear: establish the blackout and introduce the robot in the first 5 seconds, show its journey to deliver the seed in the middle, and end with the city lighting up again. Before production begins, recommend 2-3 suitable Flova Skills and explain why each one fits. Wait for me to choose before creating the project. -
Review important checkpoints such as the storyboard and media, and tell the Agent what is approved and what still needs adjustment.
The Agent usually connects to your Flova account through a browser-based sign-in flow. After sign-in, the local CLI continues the task with your account permissions.
Is Flova CLI right for you?
- Create videos directly from your usual Agent: let the Agent create, inspect, or continue Flova projects without changing your working environment.
- Use materials scattered across local folders: let the Agent upload scripts, reference images, videos, audio, or documents and explain how each item should be used.
- Produce repeated or batch video projects: let the Agent create and advance multiple projects with a consistent workflow and fewer repetitive steps.
Capability overview
- Create and continue projects: start a project from a single idea, or read the real state of an existing project before continuing.
- Use local materials: upload scripts, reference images, videos, audio, and documents, then use them in the appropriate production steps.
- Use Flova Skills: recommend, select, and run workflows from the community and personal Skill libraries that fit the current goal.
- Create Flova Skills: turn local workflows, knowledge bases, and production rules into reusable Flova Skills and continue refining them.
- Review project progress: inspect key decisions, generation progress, and project status in the current conversation before approving, revising, or continuing.
- Get final deliverables: export the final video or download project images, videos, audio, music, and other media.
Use cases
Projects and production
-
Create and continue projects: The Agent can create a new project from an idea, or first read the storyboard, media, documents, conversation, and export status of an existing project before continuing from an unfinished or specified part. Projects created through the CLI remain standard Flova projects that you can open on the web at any time.
-
Move production forward with natural language: Give requirements and revision notes as if you were speaking with a production partner. The external Agent collaborates with the Flova Agent to apply them to the storyboard, media, shots, audio, and timeline while preserving work you have already approved.
-
Use local materials: Give the Agent scripts, reference images, videos, audio, or other documents scattered across local folders and explain the role of each item. The Agent uploads the files and uses them in the corresponding project steps, without requiring you to handle every upload on the web.
Flova Skills
-
Recommend, select, and use Flova Skills: After you describe the video goal, available materials, style, and delivery requirements, the Agent can search for suitable Flova Skills, explain when each one is useful, and wait for your choice before creating a project.
I have a complete short-film script and need to turn it into a 16:9 video of about 90 seconds.First, find suitable Flova Skills, recommend some options, and explain why each Skill fits. -
Create, modify, and manage Flova Skills: You can give the Agent local workflows, knowledge bases, documents, and media so it can organize them into a reusable Flova Skill. For an existing Skill, you can also ask for a proposed revision first and approve it before anything is updated.
Using the attachments I uploaded - a brand guide, storyboard standards, and summaries of three past projects - help me create a Flova Skill for xx brand product launch videos. The experience I believe must be captured includes how to extract product selling points, design storyboards that match the brand tone, and design the audiovisual language of shots.First draft the Skill structure and rules. Do not create it yet. List any missing information and wait for my confirmation before continuing.
Review, preview, and delivery
-
Review in stages: When a storyboard, character design, shot, or other key content requires judgment, the Agent can pause and request confirmation in the current conversation. You can revise only the specified part while preserving approved work.
-
Preserve key cost decisions: The Agent can continue production steps you have already approved. When an action requires a personal decision, such as a large credit spend, a top-up, or a subscription purchase, it pauses and explains the reason and available options.
-
Preview project progress: The Agent can read the real project state and report what is processing, complete, or still waiting for confirmation. Completed media can be returned to the current conversation and displayed visually for further review.
-
Export videos and download project media: When the final cut is ready, the Agent can start an export and return the final video. It can also download project images, videos, audio, music, and other media. If local monitoring of a long-running task is interrupted, the Agent can read the state again and resume waiting.
Frequently asked questions
-
Do I need to learn the command line? No. Complete installation and sign-in once, then tell the Agent what you want in natural language. The Agent chooses and runs the commands.
-
Which Agents can use Flova CLI? Codex, Claude Code, Workbuddy, Trae, Hermes, and other Agents that can run local commands and load Skills can use it.
-
Can an Agent spend a large number of credits without confirmation? The Agent can continue production steps you have already approved. When an action requires a personal decision, such as a large credit spend, a top-up, or a subscription purchase, it pauses and explains the reason and available options.
-
Can I continue an existing project? Yes. The Agent reads the real project state first, then continues from an unfinished or specified part without recreating the entire project.
